Description

Region Information
---------------------------------------
Official Region Name: Regione Autonoma Siciliana (Translating to Sicilian Autonomous Region)
Capital: Palermo
Languages: Sicilian and Italian
Government: Unitary Parliamentary Constitutional Republic
Current Leader: President Rosario Crocetta

Human Information
-------------------------------------
Human Name: Rosanna Sugamiele (Sugamiele is a common Surname in Sicily)
Nickname/s: None.
Age Appearance: 24
Actual Age: Around 3110-13 years old, basing that on the first Phoenician settlements.
Gender: Female
Birthday: March 17 (Unification of the Kingdom of Italy)

About Them
---------------------------
Personality and Hobbies: Rosanna is a passionate, welcoming woman. She doesn't really bother with
flirting as such, she instead focuses on making the newcomer feel welcome and at home, as she
has accustomed to this. She is often very cheerful, that is, until you get on her bad side. When angered
she swears like a sailor, she never hits anyone, but she instead makes wild hand gestures. As long as you don't call her
Italian, or insult her, she should be fine with you.

Rosanna enjoys cooking, swimming and dancing. She's a very good cook, like her Italian neighbors ,
but her meals are mainly centered around sea food. As for dancing, she enjoys traditional dances like Matroccola and
Tarantella, and many others. As for swimming, she enjoys going down onto the beaches and swimming in the ocean,
she finds it rather relaxing. She is prone to inviting people along with her, but she doesn't
mind if people decline as she'll happily go on her own and enjoy herself.

She could be dubbed as bothersome as she will talk for hours on end to someone if they're willing to
listen, but that's far from the truth, she merely likes being sociable and making new friends along the way.
She doesn't mean to come off as annoying and such, but sometimes it can happen.

Physical Attributes
-----------------------------------
Description: Rosanna is a beautiful woman, no doubt about it. Her facial features are soft and flatter
her features greatly. Her face is rounded, yet she has a sharp-ish chin, her complexion
is an olive-tan, which contrasts greatly with her dulled green eyes, and usually deep
red plump lips, with a beauty mark on the right side of her bottom lip. Rosanna usually has
light make-up on, which consists of deep red lipstick, and black smoky eye style eyeshadow
and cat-eye eyeliner. She keeps her make-up relatively simple as she dislikes going over the
top with it.

Her hair is dark brown in colour, and falls in curls. She doesn't have much of a fringe, as
it's merely pushed to the right-side of her face. Her hair reaches just past her shoulders
and is usually down. She has a rather prominent triangular curl on the left side of her
head which represents the triangle shape of her island.

Rosanna's body type is hour glass, so she does therefore have curves. She doesn't have
a very flat stomach - it is actually a little bit pudgy due to how much food she eats, she
reason she's not chubby there is due to the amount of swimming and numerous other
activities she does. Her legs are rather average but she does have shapely-thighs, they
are somewhat on the long side but aren't too special.

She usually wears a red dress which reaches just above her knees, which shows off
her figure and flows freely around her legs, making it easy to move around in which
is handy for her. Rosanna is usually smiling and cheery.
Height: 5'2''
Weight:
Outfit (Military): Light tan coloured jacket, and trousers, with boots much Italy and Romano's. She wears a red top
with a little yellow bow like Spain's, for example.
Outfit (Casual): A red dress that goes just above her knees, accompanied by black heels.

Family and Foreign Relationships
------------------------------------------------------
Ancestor: Phoenicia
Family: Phoenicia (Father) , Carthage (Sibling)
Potential Love Interest: None, she really isn't that interested in a relationship.
Foreign Relationships:
Romano/S.Italy: Rosanna sort-of sees him as a younger brother, she's quite close
with him, but they sometimes argue, but these arguments are quickly forgotten.
N.Italy: She really dislikes him, and they often get into verbal fights, they often
have to be separated by Romano, or, well, anyone.
America: A recent friend of hers, she likes him due to his easygoing attitude,
and finds him quite funny. He can get on her nerves with his eating habits sometimes
though.

Brief History
--------------------------------
Past Caretakers: Phoenicia, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Vandals (Germania), Byzantine,
Normans, Holy Roman Empire, and Spain.

History:
Sicily was born around the same time that Ancient Greece existed, after Phoenicia had died,
Ancient Greece took Sicily in as her own, proving to be a major mother figure in Sicily's life. Ancient Greece
influenced Sicily greatly, and this shows to even modern times, as you can see buildings and such from those
times. The Greek Rulers soon came into conflict with the Punic trading communities, By now effectively protectorates
of Carthage, with its capital on the African mainland not far from the southwest corner of the island.

In the First and Second Sicilian Wars, Carthage was in control of all of Sicily, except the Eastern part of
Sicily, which was dominated by Syracuse. However, the dividing line between the Carthaginian west and
the Greek east moved backwards and forwards frequently in the ensuing centuries.

The constant warfare between Carthage and the Greek city-states eventually opened up an oppurtunity
to another power, Rome. After the Messanan crisis, the Roman Republic was motivated, it soon got
into the Sicilian Affairs, and this led to the First Punic War between Rome, and Carthage. By the end
of this war, and with the death of Hiero II, all of Sicily except Syracuse was in Rome's hands, and she became
Rome's first province outside of the Italian peninsula.

After the success of the Carthaginians during most of the Second Punic War, encouraged many of the Sicilian
cities to revolt against Roman rule. Rome soon sent down troops to put down the rebellions (it was during the siege of
Syracuse that Archimedes was killed). Carthage once again took control of parts of Sicily (But only briefly), but
was soon driven out. Many Carthaginian sympathizers were killed. After this, in 210 BC the Roman consul
M.Valerian told the Roman Senate that "no Carthaginian remains in Sicily".

For the next 600 years, Sicily was a province of the Roman Republic (And later, Empire). It was something of a rural
backwater, important chiefly for its grain fields which were a mainstay of the food supply of the city of Rome
until the annexation of Egypt after the Battle Of Actium largely did away with that role. The Empire didn't make
much effort whatsoever to Romanize Sicily, which remained largely Greek. However, one notable event
was the notorious misgovernment of Verres as recorded by Cicero. Another event was the Sicilian Revolt
under Sextus Pompeius, which for a brief period of time, liberated Sicily from the Roman rule.

Despite its largely neglected status, Sicily was able to make a contribution to Roman culture through the historian
Diodorus Siculus, and a poet. It was also during this period that in Sicily we find one of the very first Christian
Communities.

As the Roman Empire was falling apart, the Vandals (whom were a Germanic Tribe) took Sicily in 440AD under the
rule of their King Geiseric. However, they soon lost these newly acquired possessions to another East Germanic tribe
in the form of the Goths.

Soon enough, Sicily was controlled by Byzantine after around 700 years of issues between the Vandals and Goths.
After being ruled over by Byzantine, she was ruled over by the Arabs.

Throughout the Muslim reign, there were many revolts by the Byzantine Sicilians (Especially in the East) and part
of the lands were even re-occupied before being quashed. Agricultural items such as Oranges, Lemons, Sugar Cane
and Pistachio were introduced, the native Christians were allowed nominal freedom of Religion with jaziya (tax on
non-Muslims, imposed by Muslim rulers) to their rulers for the right to practice their own religion privately.

After the Muslim Reign, she was then ruled over by the Normans, and then she became the Kingdom Of Sicily
in 1130 AD. The Kingdom Of Sicily went on for many years (Around 686 years), and then merged with the
Kingdom Of Naples (Which would be Romano), which then formed the Kingdom Of Two Sicilies. The two
remained leaders of this Kingdom, Sicily and Romano (Who was a child) were both under Spanish and
Holy Roman Empire control. Soon, they both left Spain's care, and joined the Kingdom Of Italy.

Jumping to the early 20th century and World War 2 period, now.
Ongoing government neglect in the late 19th century period ultimately enabled the establishment
of organized crime networks commonly known as "La Cosa Nostra", otherwise known as the Mafia.
Sicily herself hated the Mafia, finding they caused only issues and caused a bad image as they
spread influence across the Island and other places (Such as the United States).

During World War 2, Sicily was used as storage by the Axis, mainly for their guns, and soldiers.
On July 9th, 1943, The Allies launched an attack on Sicily, this operation was nicknamed 'Operation Husky'
The August of the same year, the Allies gained control of Sicily, after Germany and N.Italy had fled
Sicily. The Allies of course won the war, and things got better from there.

Italy and Romano became a Republic instead of a Kingdom, and Sicily was given the status of an
Autonomous Region. Now in modern days, Sicily mostly spends her days cooking, swimming and having fun.

You updated her with the new name and everything! It looks all so good! :D
But just one thing, I think the human age should be just a little older. Given that Greece's age is 27, and Sicily is older than Modern Greece. Early thirties, perhaps?
